I feel very confident about emotional intelligence and cognitive flexibility. Emotional intelligence the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Growing up, I was not good with emotional intelligence, but when I got into high school, I have gained control and awareness of my emotions. I allow myself to cry when I am sad, yell when I am angry, and shine when I am happy. When something happens to me, it triggers an emotion, then I react. Gaining emotional intelligence has made my life more balanced because I am not afraid to feel certain emotions. Growing up in a family with my mom, dad, and sister has taught me to be very flexible. Since my dad has three girls in the same house as him, he has to be very flexible and that has taught me to gain cognitive flexibility as well. I am thankful that I am flexible because I am less stressed in any situation.
I need to work more on my decision making and complex problem solving.
